Moregate invests as principal investor or alongside private investors from our investor network. We have access to $100m across many geographies to enable UK and international funding requirements.
The investment portfolio started off in 2006 with the investment in WTG. Over the past years, Volker has been a principal investor in a number of transactions, representing a transaction value in excess of £20 million. Volker's track records include investments in multiple sectors, with a focus on the services and IT sectors.
WTG Technologies Ltd
WTG is a specialist systems integrator delivering secure information solutions (secure collaboration, intelligence management and other complex web-based applications) for secure government organisations in the Public Sector, specifically Justice and Security. Clients include the Ministry of Justice, NPIA, the Metropolitan Police and the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
WTG has been building critical national intelligence applications for customers for over five years and continues to adopt new technologies that will enable next generation requirements around real-time data fusing and proactive notification of relationships and patterns of activity.
Moregate is the principal investor in WTG Technologies Ltd. We initiated and managed the MBO from Cable & Wireless, provided the CEO and helped turn around the business following the demerger. Volker Schulze is a Director on the board of the company.
VS One Ltd
VS One Ltd is a shell company managed by Moregate to reverse existing companies into.
We are currently looking to provide funds for a managed services business to run satellite and bandwidth services in the Middle East. Closure is planned for H1 2011.
Brownstone IT Ltd
Brownstone IT is a leading UK satellite services reseller focusing on fixed and mobile VSAT installations in remote locations.
Moregate acquired a majority stake in the company with the view to turning around the operation, change the business model and take the management expertise to the next level. Moregate took on the interim management of the company with four main objectives:
- Take control and manage the immediate crisis
- Rebuild stakeholder support
- Fixing the business
- Resolve future funding
Career DNA Ltd
Career DNA is a social network focusing on career management based on the Career DNA Bank, a tried and tested methodology masterminded by Bill Faust, a renowned speaker and supplier to the top business schools.
Career DNA Ltd is a new venture aimed at adding shared value to business schools and corporations alike through the utilisation of the latest Internet and social networking technologies.
The Career DNA methodology enables high calibre applicants to manage and develop their careers and as a result find better jobs. Likewise, corporations and recruiters will make better recruitment choices thus increasing value to their organisation and reducing recruitment costs.
Even though the system being in Beta testing stage, the client base already comprises of top business schools and FTSE corporations seeking to make their recruitment and resource management processes more efficient.
Strategic Radar Inc
Strategic Radar provides the products and services to allow an organisation to scan the external environment to build and monitor a corporate strategy to succeed in an uncertain world. The company is based in Philadelphia.
We invested as part of the spin-off of the company from its parent company.
